Small Groups with a BIG impact! Join us! There's a group for everyone

By now most of you probably know that we had to cancel in person camp this summer. That presented the questions "How do we live out our mission while not being able to physically be together? How do we restore all people to Christ- but do so virtually? How do we seek Christ in all persons?"

One of the many things we tried in response to these important questions was small groups. We found great joy and community in them- so much so that we've decided to continue these groups throughout the coming year. We would LOVE for you to join us for them! We have four different groups at this time. We have elementary, middle/high school, college/young adults, and a parents support group. All are welcome. Our hope is to grow these groups so that we have participants involved across this great Diocese of ours. Read on for more information!

Purpose: To virtually meet, connect and pray with others across the Diocese in the hopes of meeting new people, finding support and building relationships in Christ.

(Sept 21st, Oct 5th, Oct 19th, Nov 2nd, Nov 16th, Dec 7th, Dec 21)

(Sept 14th, Sept 28th, Oct 12th, Oct 26th, Nov 9th, Nov 23d, Dec 14th,Dec 28th)

COLLEGE/YOUNG ADULT: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each Month @ 6 pm

PARENT SUPPORT GROUP: 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each Month @ 6pm

(Sept 15th, Oct 6th, Oct 20th, Nov 3rd, Nov 17th, Dec1st, Dec 15th)

Leadership: Each meeting will strive to have 2 leaders. One to monitor the room and one will lead the discussion. These leaders have had background checks and have gone through Safeguarding training. It is important to note however that these leaders are not paid counselors or therapists. Their role is to model and facilitate discussion.

Expectations: Participants will show respect to themselves, to others and to the leader. Foul or inappropriate language is not allowed. Private things discussed in the group are not be shared outside of the groups. (Exceptions with mandated reporting)

Curriculum/Discussion Topics: The discussions will be based on the daily lectionary readings, as well as check ins with the group members. The idea is merely to connect, pray and discuss life with one another.

How do I join: We would LOVE to have you come try one of groups out. To do so click on the zoom links in our online calendars on our website.

We hope you consider joining. In these uncertain times it is so important to stay connected. You are important and valuable and we want to get to know you better!

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24
