Volunteer Thursdays

Volunteer Thursdays at Camp Marshall are a chance to give back to the community and assist in maintaining the camp's facilities and grounds. Volunteers can participate in indoor and outdoor tasks, learn new skills, and enjoy free lunch and snacks. No experience necessary, just a willingness to work hard and make a difference.
Each Thursday in the spring we gather volunteers to help complete projects that need to be completed around the camp property.
We meet each Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (we are very flexible with schedules)

Creation Care Contemplative Retreat

WHAT:
A Christian Contemplative Retreat, Creation Care will combine hands on gardening and climate science learning with the soul work of ‘Clearing away the dead growth of the past, Breaking up the hard clods of custom and routine, and Stirring in the rich compost of vision and challenge […]
Until new life buds and opens and flowers.’ Adapted from “Be the Gardener of my Soul” by Richard Foster, Prayers from the Heart © 1994
Through brief talks, circle group discussions and small group conversations, we’ll consider ideas and passages from John Philip Newell’s Sacred Earth Sacred Soul: Celtic Wisdom for Reawakening to What our Souls Know and Healing the World as well as the writings and videos of climate scientist, Dr. Katharine Hayhoe.
(NOTE: There is no expectation retreatants have read or viewed these materials.)
Immersed in the Benedictine rhythm’s which shaped our Episcopal BCP, we will pray the Daily Office throughout the day using both Daily Prayer for All Seasons (© 2014 Church Publishing) and the Celtic Meditations from J.P. Newell’s Sacred Earth Sacred Soul. We’ll also offer optional Centering Prayer sits in the AM & PM, as well as employing Lectio Divina, Chant, other Christian Contemplative practices. We will use Songs & Prayers from Taize.

Ultreya Planning Weekend

"Discover the Meaning and Significance of Ultreya: A Weekend Retreat at Camp Marshall
Are you a part of the Cursillo community or interested in learning more about it? Then join us for a weekend of sharing praise and contemplation at Camp Marshall. Ultreya, a Spanish word meaning "Onward!", is a meeting held after a Cursillo experience where Cursillistas from one or several communities come together to share their experiences and reflect on their faith.
The Episcopal Diocese of Montana, under the leadership of Bishop Marty Stebbins, is interested in a re-boot of the Cursillo program in our diocese. As part of this initiative, we are hosting an Ultreya weekend at Camp Marshall from March 24th to 26th, 2023. The main event will take place on Saturday afternoon, but those who need to travel from further distances can arrive on Friday evening and depart on Sunday morning.
If you are interested in participating in this weekend, either as part of the leadership team or as a participant, please fill out the survey below to give us an idea of who will be attending, what role you might like to play. Join us as we take this opportunity to deepen our faith and connect with other like-minded individuals."
Your response is appreciated. It will help with our planning and preparation.
