About the Position
The Music Director will lead music at chapel and campfire. They will encourage participation and joy in all aspects of Camp Marshall life.
Salary Information Dates of Employment
$400- $450 per week plus room and board June 10th – July 26 2024
Responsibilities
Music Program
Develop a weekly schedule of music to introduce and teach
Plan for and lead two program times each day (10 – 12 noon, 2 – 4:30); and be able to assist with Christian Formation/Chapel as needed
WLead music at worship and campfire
Ensure that the Music area is thoroughly cleaned, and all supplies are properly inventoried and packed away during camp season and before camp closes
Camp Marshal Team Work
Is willing to fully participate in camp community life and worship, to support the mission and ministry of Camp Marshall
Attend and participate in summer camp staff meetings
Support and substitute for counselors from time to time
Possesses good character, maturity, adaptability, and is teamwork oriented
Possesses enthusiasm, a sense of humor, patience, and self-control
Requirements
At least 18 years of age and high school graduation or GED
Experience working with children and formal leadership roles outside of camp is preferred
Complete staff training at Camp Marshall including all necessary modules
Working knowledge of camp music
Skill with guitar or other instrument to lead outdoor singing
Must be physically fit enough to walk on rough terrain over the 27 acre site, climb stairs, and carry loads of 40 lbs.
