Are you looking for a way to make a difference in your community? Do you have a passion for helping others and a desire to contribute to a worthwhile cause? If so, we invite you to join us at Camp Marshall on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting March 16th, 2023, and continuing through May 25th, 2023, to volunteer your time and talents to help us complete some important projects.
Camp Marshall is a vital ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Montana, providing a beautiful and peaceful setting for retreats, camps, and other gatherings. Our facilities have been serving the Diocese of Montana for over 75 years and it requires ongoing maintenance and improvement to ensure it's safe, comfortable, and attractive for all who visit.
We have two major projects that we need help with, and we would be thrilled if you could join us to lend a hand. Our first project is repurposing St. Richard's cabin to an attractive camper cabin. The cabin will feature; private changing spaces, eight bunk beds, both heating and cooling via a "mini-split" heater with close proximity to the shower house on either end of camp. This will involve a variety of tasks, such as insulating, hanging drywall, painting, cleaning, and landscaping. We need volunteers with a range of skills and experience to help us get the job done.
Our second project is the deep cleaning and improvement of Canterbury Cabin, which is one of our year-round facilities. This cabin has been used by countless visitors over 25 years and it's time for a thorough refresh to make it even more inviting and comfortable. We need volunteers to help with tasks like prepping walls for paint, painting, scrubbing floors, washing windows, and making curtains and quilts and wall hangings. *New furnishings have already arrived. New beds will be coming soon.
In addition to the satisfaction of knowing you're helping a worthwhile cause, we'll also provide you with a delicious lunch to keep you fueled throughout the day. You'll have the opportunity to meet other volunteers, share your skills and experiences, and make new friends while working together to build a better community.
