About the Retreat
Position: Volunteer
Purpose: To assist in maintenance and upkeep of Camp Marshall facilities and grounds
Responsibilities:
• Show up on Thursdays between 9 am and 3 pm for a full day of volunteering
• Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance tasks as needed
• Indoor tasks may include general cleaning such as windows, floors, walls, bathrooms, as well as installing drywall, insulation, repairing decks, prepping rooms to be painted, painting, and cleaning fixtures.
• Outdoor tasks may include raking, burning slash, trimming trees, cleaning windows, cleaning decks, and clearing paths of brush and limbs.
• Follow safety guidelines and instructions provided by Camp Marshall staff
Qualifications:
• No previous experience necessary, but experience in maintenance, construction, or landscaping is a plus
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and bending
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable and punctual attendance on Thursdays
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
